Saline Preservation Association was formed in 2003 & acquired non-profit status

Historical Contexts Study was completed by Daniel Littlefield and Fuller Bumpers Cherokee Nation Community Works Grant Recipient $50,000

Master Plan Completed and Council Approved Designation of "The Saline National Park" the First Cherokee Nation National Park

Topographic Survey completed by Landmark Survey Ground Penetrating Radar completed on the Teehee Cemetery

Archaeological Survey completed by Dr. George Odell

Springhouse and Courthouse documented according to HABS Standards Master Plan Phase 1 Restoration of the Springhouse & low water dam finished!

Master Plan Phase 2 Roadway fencing and cemetery fencing are complete.

Lead paint remediation on courthouse completed.

Architectural work is currently being done for the courthouse stablization of the chimneys and foundation.
